Hello! I’m Noor

I'm a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute.

I'm advised by Dr. Erik Harpstead and Dr. Jessica Hammer. I am also the recipient of the NSERC Postgraduate Fellowship and the Generation Google Scholarship.

My research interests center on the design and development of tools that support creativity. I am currently exploring designing novel interactions for creativity support tools using generative AI. Recently, I have also focused on creating toolkits which enable novel data-driven live streaming interfaces.

I most recently interned at Adobe in the Summer of 2024 with Ailie Fraser and Mira Dontcheva on designing generative AI creative assistants for video editing. Feel free to contact me to discuss any potential research collaboration.
