Hello! I’m Noor

I'm a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute.

I'm advised by Dr. Erik Harpstead and Dr. Jessica Hammer. I’m also a recipient of the NSERC Postgraduate Fellowship and the Generation Google Scholarship.

My research focuses on designing and developing tools that empower digital creators. I’m particularly interested in how systems can leverage creator data to support more authentic, personalized, and expressive creative workflows. I’ve explored this through projects in live streaming, game development, and augmented reality.

Most recently, I interned at Adobe in Summer 2024, where I worked with Ailie Fraser and Mira Dontcheva on developing AI creative assistants for video content creators. Feel free to contact me to discuss any potential research collaboration.
